As we begin the 2015-2016 Year the Louisville Area KDAC has changed its name to the KENTUCKIANA KAPPA DELTA ALUMNAE CHAPTER!!  After much discussion and confusion in the past as to whom this AC served we wanted to make an effort to more inclusive of all the KD Alumnae that live in the Louisville and Southern Indiana areas regardless of a sisters colligate chapter or  location in the Louisville Area. 

We hope you will consider becoming a dues paying member this year and help the AC grow!!

Dinner and Shopping
November 20, 2014 at 6:30pm
Join us for a fun evening of dinner and shopping at the Paddock Shoppes.
We will meet at 6:30 at Martini's for a quick bite to eat and then head out to the mall for shopping.  Hope you will be able to join us and kick start your holiday season!!

Annual Holiday Party
December 11, 2014 at 7:00pm

Join us for our favorite event of the year.  We will be enjoying some great food, drinks and company.  Please bring a $10 holiday themed gift for the gift exchange!  Take a few minutes and enjoy a relaxing, fun filled evening with sisters before the hectic holiday season starts!!

Sisterhood and Service

On October 13 the Louisville Area KD Alumnae Chapter prepared and served dinner at Gilda's Club!  The theme was 'Pink'tober!  So we made food to fit the theme....pink chicken alfredo pasta, pink deviled eggs, strawberry spinach salad and pink sprinkle cupcakes and cookies!!  It was a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community during our founders month!

 

Thank you to everyone who donated to the event by making a dish, donating money and working the event!!  With all your help it was a very successful evening!

 

 

 

 

Happy International Women's Friendship Month

Dear Sisters,

Happy International Women's Friendship Month!!
Ask any woman--there's something special about her friendships with other women. Our female friends know us better than anyone else. They are there to listen, to console, and to encourage. They are our loudest cheerleaders and our most compassionate confidantes. Our women friends come in a wide variety--sister, mother, neighbor, childhood playmate, college roommate. We make connections at the playground, the workplace, the gym, and over the proverbial back fence.

From a leisurely Saturday afternoon over coffee to precious moments stolen for a late night phone call, our relationships with other women can sustain us and give life depth. We need to remember the important roles our women friends play in our lives.

In 1999, Kappa Delta Sorority created National Women's Friendship Day to do just that. And in 2009, alongside Kappa Delta’s creation of the Confidence Coalition, the celebration was expanded to the entire month of September. Now known as International Women's Friendship Month, the celebration offers all women the opportunity to remember their cherished friends.

Mark your calendars and join us in celebrating women's friendship in September! For more information on the month, please visit the Confidence Coalition website http://www.confidencecoalition.org/.

We are going to celebrate Women's Friendship Month in September, and go to Uptown Art. If you have not been there before, it is a painting class with a twist! The below link will show you the picture that we are going to paint, it is called Poppies. Also, wine bottles are half price for the night. This is ...a very fun activity and a very fun way to tap in to your creative side. Please RSVP to the Facebook invite, so I can let them know how many of us are going to attend so we can get our seats together.
